Lord David Alton

Lord David Alton(born 1951) is a member of the British House of Lords. He is a former MP for the Liberal Democrat Party but left in 1992 because he disagreed with party policy on abortion. In 1997 he was appointed to the House of Lords. Lord Alton is Britain's best known pro-life advocate. He is also a human rights and anti-euthanasia advocate. He is currently President of the Catholic Union.
