The 2024 AsiaBasket International Championship will be the seventh tournament under AsiaBasket, the fourth under the AsiaBasket name, and the first in 2024. The tournament will take place at Enderun Colleges in Taguig and run from July 9 to 16, 2024.[1]
The Benilde Blazers, who are the defending champions,[2] will be among the teams competing.
Prior to the announcement of the 2024 International Championship, AsiaBasket in January announced the 2024 Cebu Championship during the Sinulog festival. Initially announced to take place in April at the Hoops Dome in Lapu-Lapu City, the tournament eventually did not push through.[3]
The 2024 International Championship was announced on July 7, 2024, two days before the start of the event.
Similar to previous tournaments since International 2022, ten teams will compete, including seven from the Philippines, one from Indonesia, one from the United States, and one from Taiwan, a first for AsiaBasket. This tournament will also feature seven teams with collegiate ties, the most in AsiaBasket history.
