Bashir Farooq Qadri (Urdu مولانا بشیر فاروق قادری) was a Pakistani humanitarian, philanthropist[5] who founded the Saylani Welfare Trust.[6] He is chairman of Saylani Welfare Trust [7]

Personal life[edit]

Qadri was born in Shikarpur on March 3, 1963, during Ramadan.[citation needed] He belongs to the Gujrati memon Bantawa Community and his father Abdul Ghaffar Polani was a businessman.[citation needed] He completed his schooling at Islamia High School Shikarpur, and then travelled to Karachi in 1975.[citation needed]

Awards[edit]

He received Sitara-i-Imtiaz from President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi on 23 March 2019 for his contributions to the society.[8]
