商博良陨石坑

商博良陨石坑（Champollion）是位于月球背面北半部的一座的大撞击坑，其名称取自法国著名历史学家、语言学家暨埃及学家让-弗朗索瓦·商博良（1794年-1832年），1970年被国际天文学联合会批准接受。

描述

该陨坑位于更大的沙因环形山的东北偏北方及钱德勒环形山的东南偏南面，西侧毗邻略小的赫顿陨石坑^[1]。该陨坑中心月面坐标为37°23′N 175°02′E / 37.39°N 175.03°E / 37.39; 175.03，直径48.97公里^[2]，深度约2.332公里^[3]。

商博良陨石坑是一座被后续撞击严重损毁的撞击坑，现已成为月表上一处破碎的凹坑，沿大部分内侧壁布满小型撞击形成的凿痕，其中在北侧内壁上构成了一道几乎延伸至坑底中央的凹槽。该陨坑坑壁较周边地形最大高出1110米^[3]，壁顶到底部深度为3370米^[3]，内部容积约有1906.85立方千米^[3]。

按惯例，最靠近商博良陨石坑的卫星坑将在月图上以字母标注在该坑的中心点旁。
