Atomberg Technologies is a Fan (machine) designing and manufacturing company based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It is co-founded by university friends Manoj Meena and Sibabrata Das of Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in 2015.[2][3]
The company manufactures Brushless DC electric motor(BLDC) remote controlled fan, which reduces power consumption. It consumes 65% fewer units than a conventional induction motor fans of similar size.[4][5] These fans consumes 28 Watt of power, while equivalent induction motor fans consumes 75 Watt of power.[6][7][8]
The company manufactures 20 different variants of fans, It launched Internet of things -enabled smart fans which are Wi-Fi, Google Home and Amazon Alexa controlled.[9][10]
2017: United Nations Industrial Development Organization'Global Cleantech Innovation Awards' in the energy efficiency category.[12][13]
2017: 'National Entrepreneurship Award 2017' announced by 'Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship' in the sub-category of renewable energy and waste management.[14][15]
