    B. Riley Financial has expanded primarily through mergers and acquisitions. Here are a few of the company’s notable operating subsidiaries:

    In 2012, B. Riley acquired Caris & Co., a stock research firm.[5]

    In 2014, the company merged with Great American Group, a retail liquidation firm.[6]

    In 2018, the company bought restructuring adviser GlassRatner Advisory & Capital Group.[7]

    B. Riley also owns several portfolio company. These companies include internet legacy brands such as United Online, whose holdings include NetZero and Juno Online Services.[8].

    In 1997, Bryant Riley founded B. Riley & Co.[9] as a stock-picking firm serving California companies.[2][10]

    In 2014, B. Riley & Co. merged with Great American Group.[11]
