Jurathra is a small village of 980 hectares in Sikar Tehsil in Sikar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jurathra depends on Sikar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 105.92% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Jurathra is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Jurathra's pin code is 332402[4], and village code is 01703000. The area of Jurathra is segregated as 105.92 hectares irrigated area, 371.42 hectares unirrigated, the 106.59 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 396.5 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Jurathra has One post office (Jurathara B.O) and One public telephone. Jurathra has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Jurathra is a census village in the district of Sikar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1887 and has total administration over 334 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 355 (18.81%) males constitute 181 (9.59%) of the population and females 174 (9.22%).

Employment[edit]

The workforce is 524 male, 488 female with 412 (40.71%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 356 males and 56 females. 195 males and 43 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 10 male and 1 female agricultural labor. 600 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sikar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
