    The concept behind Naboso and its proprioceptive products originated from the global travels of Dr. Emily Splichal, a renowned Podiatrist, Human Movement Specialist, and Global Barefoot Science Leader based in New York City.[5] Dr. Splichal recognized the need for advancements in surface science and insole design, realizing that what our feet come into contact with is just as crucial as the shoes we wear or adopting a minimal footwear approach.[6]

    Driven by her passion for enhancing sensory stimulation and establishing foot-to-core stability, Dr. Splichal founded Naboso (meaning "barefoot" in Czech) Technology in 2017. With her innovative approach, she has transformed the industry by introducing a range of textured products designed to activate the nerves in the feet.[7] Naboso's textured insoles, mats, socks, and accessories feature a unique patented texture with two-point discrimination, offering a groundbreaking solution for optimizing movement and stimulating the nervous system.[8]

In June 2019, Naboso Technology and TrueForm Runner joined forces to launch the Naboso TrueForm Runner, the world's first proprioceptive treadmill for rehabilitation and performance.[13] This innovative treadmill incorporates Naboso's textured material as the tread surface, optimizing foot and neuro activation during walking and running.[14]

    Xero Shoes: In July 2019, Naboso partnered with Xero Shoes, a leading minimal footwear company, to create the Naboso Trail Sport Sandal. This innovative sandal combines the benefits of Naboso's proprioceptive stimulation with the comfort and freedom of minimal footwear.[15]

    FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers: In February 2023, Naboso Technology joined forces with FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers, a pioneer in physical therapy, balance, and vestibular therapies.[16] This partnership aims to expand the availability of Naboso's products across the country, allowing individuals to experience optimized movement and improved quality of life.
