Paharpur is a small village of 75 hectares in Phulpur Tehsil in Azamgarh district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Paharpur depends on Lohaghat N P, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river,. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Paharpur's pin code is 276143[4], and village code is 08587300. The area of Paharpur is segregated as 40 hectares irrigated area, 34 hectares unirrigated area. the 1 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 2 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Paharpur is a census village in the district of Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 792 and has total administration over 118 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Lohaghat N P and Azamgarh to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
