    Panotiya is a small village of 434 hectares in Amet Tehsil in Rajsamand district, known for Rajsamand Lake, an artificial lake created in the 17th century by Rana Raj Singh in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Panotiya depends on AMET, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 14.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Panotiya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Panotiya's pin code is 313207[4], and village code is 02993200. The area of Panotiya is segregated as 34 hectares irrigated area, 38 hectares unirrigated, the 323 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 39.36 hectare area not available for cultivation.

    Panotiya has One post office (Panotia B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Panotiya has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

    Panotiya is a census village in the district of Rajsamand, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 740 and has total administration over 166 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

    • Panotiya has 137 children, 71 boys and 66 girls.
    • Scheduled caste counts for 107 (14.46%) males constitute 49 (6.62%) of the population and females 58 (7.84%).
    • Scheduled tribe counts for 218 (29.46%) males constitute 115 (15.54%) of the population and females 103 (13.92%).

    According to a census 2011 report, 421 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 207 male, 214 female with 354 (84.09%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 183 males and 171 females. 38 males and 20 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 26 male and 86 female agricultural labor. 67 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

    They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of AMET and Rajsamand to sell ghee and make their living.
