    Puraina is a small village of 556.7 hectares in Bahraich Tehsil in Bahraich district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Puraina depends on Nanpara (MB), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river,One canal. Puraina is also near byOne lake. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Puraina's pin code is 271821[4], and village code is 06428300. The area of Puraina is segregated as 5.65 hectares irrigated area. and remaining 133.7 hectare area not available for cultivation.

    The village is connected with a single bus service. Puraina has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

    Puraina is a census village in the district of Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 2497 and has total administration over 462 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

    • Scheduled caste counts for 656 (26.27%) males constitute 336 (13.46%) of the population and females 320 (12.82%).

    They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Nanpara (MB) and Bahraich to sell jaggery and make their living.
