Ucassaim is a small village of 264 hectares in Bardez Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ucassaim depends on MAPUSA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Ucassaim is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Ucassaim's pin code is 403507[5], and village code is 00004700. The area of Ucassaim is segregated as 4.94 hectares irrigated area, 104.13 hectares unirrigated, the 94.6 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 59.98 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Ucassaim is a census village in the district of North Goa, Goa. The village has a total population of 1077 and has total administration over 278 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
As per the census 2011 report, 882 people are literate in Ucassaim out of which 443 are males and 439 are females.

The workforce is 269 male, 110 female with 336 (88.65%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 240 males and 96 females. 7 males and 7 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 1 male and 1 female agricultural labor. 43 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of MAPUSA and North Goa to sell beans and make their living.
