Activator technique

From Wikidoc - Reading time: 1 min

The Activator technique was created by Arlen Fuhr in 1974 as an alternative to manual or other instrumental based chiropractic adjustments. Chiropractors trained in the use of the activator technique are often referred to as 'activator' doctors.

The activator is a mechanical device that delivers a high velocity low force adjustment to the targeted area. The end-result of the low force delivery is the alignment of the bone and tissue into its normal position.
