Canadian Anti-Smoking Campaign

From Wikidoc - Reading time: 1 min

Stupid.ca is a website sponsored by the Government of Ontario that seeks to educate adolescents about the danger of smoking. Through television, movie, print, and Internet ads, it tells people that they are much more likely to die from smoking than from certain obviously "stupid" activities, such as standing on a cliff during a lightning storm.

The blue ribbon campaign was started in 1999 by the students at Hugh Boyd Secondary School in British Columbia and has been national now in Canada.
