DOPR, or 2,5-dimethoxy-4-(n)-propylamphetamine, is a lesser-known psychedelic drug and a substituted Amphetamine. DOPR was first synthesized by Alexander Shulgin. In his book PIHKAL (Phenethylamines I Have Known and Loved), the dosage range is listed as 2.5-5 mgs, and the duration is listed as 20-30. DOPR is a “heavy duty psychedelic,” complete with alterations of the thought-process and visual distortion. Shulgin gives it a +++ on the Shulgin Rating Scale. Very little data exists about the pharmacological properties, metabolism, and toxicity of DOPR.
