Generally, it is appropriate to attend a senior surgeon for ordering of imaging studies whether MRI or CT scan. The conclusion is; clinicians should evaluate patients or defer to other clinicians who can evaluate patients with sudden sensorineural deafness for retro cochlear pathology by obtaining MRI or auditory brainstem response.
