- Surgical intervention is not recommended for the routine management of hemophilia.
- Surgical intervention may be required in cases where hematomas or bleeds cannot be managed conservatively, i.e. with major intracranial hemorrhages or joints destruction due to frequent episodes of hemarthrosis.[1][2]
