Hyperthermia is a condition that is characterized by elevated body temperatures usually greater than 100-101 degrees Fahrenheit.

What are the symptoms of Hyperthermia?[edit | edit source]

Symptoms for Hyperthermia include:

• Abdominal cramps
• Muscle cramps
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Headache
• Dizziness
• Weakness
• Heavy sweat or a lack of sweat
• Pale or bluish skin

Children may have seizures.

If not treated Hyperthermia symptoms can become:

• organ failure
• unconsciousness
• death
