Retinoblastoma Biopsy

Due to the presence of typical clinical and radiological findings, tissue biopsy(FNAC) confirmation is not necessary. It may also lead to extraocular seeding of tumor cells.

However, it is indicated in special cases to confirm where the diagnosis is ambiguous or there has been already an obvious extra ocular spread.
