Overview
[edit | edit source]- The term hairy cell leukemia was first used to describe the malignancy by Dr. R. Schrek and Dr. W. J. Donnelly, in 1966.[1]

- The first description of hairy cell leukemia as an independent clinicopathological entity was first reported by Dr. Bertha A. Bouroncle, in 1958.
