Zoonotic/Variant Influenza[edit | edit source]

Zoonotic/variant influenza virus is an influenza virus that primarily infects animals and may be transmitted to humans. In contrast, human influenza (also called seasonal influenza) infects humans and is not associated with animal infections or animal exposure.
