Žďár is a municipality and village in Písek District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 300 inhabitants.
Žďár lies approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi) south-east of Písek, 34 km (21 mi) north-west of České Budějovice, and 96 km (60 mi) south of Prague.
The villages of Nová Ves u Protivína and Žďárské Chalupy are administrative parts of Žďár.
