The 2022 UNC Greensboro Spartans baseball team represented the University of North Carolina at Greensboro during the 2022 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Spartans played their home games at UNCG Baseball Stadium as a member of the Southern Conference. They were led by head coach Billy Godwin, in his third season at Wofford.
The 2022 season was highlighted by UNCG winning their first ever conference championship, and earning their first berth into the NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.
Background[edit]
The 2021 UNC Greensboro Spartans baseball team finished the season with a 27–25 record and a 12–18 record in Southern Conference play. The Spartans finished fourth place in the Blue Division and did not qualify for the Southern Conference Tournament nor the NCAA Tournament.
