The 1st IKF World Beach Korfball Championship was organized in August 2022 in Nador, Morocco. The event was first scheduled to take place in the summer 2021, but following the covid 19 restrictions, the International Korfball Federation decided to postpone the organisation. [1]

In total 13 countries enlisted to participate in the Championship. The team from Cameroon did not start in the competition.[citation needed]
