The 2023 Lakki Marwat Operation occurred on 21 October 2023, in the Lakki Marvat District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The security forces conducted an intelligence operation in the Semu Wanda area on the outlined Occupancy of militants.[1][3][4]

The operation was part of Pakistan's ongoing efforts to combat terrorism in the region, which had been plagued by frequent attacks, causing concerns for both the military and the government.[5]

The operation was executed based on critical intelligence reports, and was aimed at countering terrorist activities in the region.[3]

Aftermath[edit]

During the Operation, an extreme exchange of barrage took place between the militants and troops belonging to Pakistani Taliban, in which four militants were shot dead at the moment, whereas one got injured and was seized by the security forces.[1][3][4][2]
