The 78th annual Cannes Film Festival will take place from 13 to 24 May 2025.[1] French actress Juliette Binoche will serve as jury president for the main competition.[2] French actor Laurent Lafitte will serve as host for the opening and closing ceremonies.[3]

The Honorary Palme d'Or will be awarded to Robert De Niro during the festival's opening ceremony.[4]

The festival will open with the French comedy film Bye Bye by Amélie Bonnin.
