Major Abdul Wahab SJ TBt was a Pakistan Army officer who was killed in Battle of Tololing of Kargil War. For his bravery in the war, he was awarded with Sitara-e-Jurat, Pakistan's third highest gallantry award.[1]
Wahab was born in Astore, Gilgit-Baltistan[when?]. Wahab completed his education from Military College Jhelum.[2] Wahab was commissioned in 70 PMA L/C of Pakistan Army. As cadet in Pakistan Military Academy, Wahab had record in 400 meter race.[3]
Wahab was commissioned in 70 Long Course of Pakistan Army and his parent unit was 32 Baloch Regiment. Wahab was awarded Tamgha-i-Basalat for capturing most wanted terrorists from Karachi in a military operation. In 1999, he volunteered for posting to war-zone and he was posted to 6 NLI iN Buniyal Sub-Sector. [4]
