The club is also a multisports club, social, and educational institution. Additionally, different teams within the club are categorized into various levels based on age and compete in a variety of sports. Among the sports played by the Khaleej Club teams are football, handball, volleyball, basketball, tennis, table tennis, gymnastics, athletics, aquatics, and others.
The club is well known for its handball team, which has competed in various global championships. Additionally, the athletics team has gained international recognition, securing gold medals in prestigious global competitions.
It has been announced that the club’s stadium will be completely rebuilt with a new capacity of 15,000, an increase from the previous 10,000. The renovation will also include a new handball court and upgraded training facilities. Construction was expected to begin in April 2024, with completion scheduled for 2026, ahead of the 2027 AFC Asian Cup. However, the work did not start on time, and no updates have been provided regarding the project's progress. Furthermore, when the stadiums for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup were announced, Khaleej's new stadium was not included in the list.
The current administration that runs the club is the club-president Alaa Al Hamal.
