Aroosa (Urdu: عروسہ, lit. 'Bride') is a 1994 Pakistani television series that aired on PTV, written by Fatima Surayya Bajia based on Zubaida Khatoon's eponymous novel, and directed by Qasim Jalali.[2] It was the debut serial of Adnan Siddiqui and Mishi Khan.[3]
Tofique (Shakeel) is a barrister, who shared a close bond with his younger (Neelofar) and (Ishrat) older sisters but neglected his wife Anjum (Ghazala). Tofique divorced Anjum when their daughter Uroosa (Mishi) was just a baby. His second marriage with a refined, educated woman creates complications as his sisters find her hard to tolerate.[4]
The lead role of Shehryar, before offering to Siddiqui was earlier offered to Aijaz Aslam who refused it due to his study engagements.[6]
