Village in Razavi Khorasan, Iran
Asgarabad (Persian : عسگراباد )[ a] is a village in, and the capital of, Quchan Atiq Rural District of Quchan Atiq District , Quchan County , Razavi Khorasan province, Iran .[ 4] The previous capital of the rural district was the village of Shahr-e Kohneh ,[ 5] now a city.[ 6]
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 702 in 193 households, when it was in the Central District .[ 7] The following census in 2011 counted 692 people in 218 households.[ 8] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 272 people in 88 households.[ 2]
In 2019, the rural district was separated from the district in the formation of Quchan Atiq District.[ 4]
