Barkley Township is one of thirteen townships in Jasper County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2020 census, its population was 915 (up from 900 in 2010)[2] and it contained 373 housing units.
Barkley Township was established in 1838. It was named for Henry Barkley, Sr.[3]
According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 59.92 square miles (155.2 km2), of which 59.9 square miles (155 km2) (or 99.97%) is land and 0.01 square miles (0.026 km2) (or 0.02%) is water.[2]
The township contains nine cemeteries: Brown, Dunkard, Hankle, Parkison, Prater, Price, Rees, Sandridge and Smith.
