The Battle of Dushanbe was a military conflict fought between the Basmachi movement against the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic. The Basmachi movement conquered Dushanbe in 1922.[2][3][4][5]
By the end of December 1921, Enver Pasha with Ali-Riza and Daniyar-Bek laid siege to Dushanbe. The garrison of the city withstood a two-month siege, but in February 1922 the defenders of the city surrendered and Dushanbe was taken.[4]
