Brave Inventors Platform is a non-governmental platform of Ukrainian military invention, bringing together Ukrainian inventors, investors, businesses, and volunteers. The platform was founded in December 2022. Its main project is the financing of UAV Punisher.
The project aims to support Ukrainian mil-tech manufacturers, promote scaling, and strengthen the local market of modern technologies and engineering solutions needed by the army.[1] By the end of 2023, the platform numbers nearly 100 teams of manufacturers.[2] They receive mentorship support, access to a base of investors and partners, find customers and like-minded people through the platform, and get recognition through international and leading Ukrainian media.[3]
The inventions include the artificial intelligence-based TGP combat module, Khrushch UAV, Jupiter UAV, demining drone Kaban, remote detonator RF v1.0, mobile power station Burevii, and more.[4][5][6]
The platform features more than 130 inventions in total:
Cosmolot, the initiator of the platform, in Winter 2023 became a partner of the Ukrainian manufacturer of UAV Punisher and provided them with systematic assistance.[7][8] They donated 100 million hryvnias for 50 modernized drones of new generation resistant to REB, allowing them to destroy the enemy far behind the front lines. In the summer of 2023, they launched the Cosmolot Airlines project, which is currently the flagship case of cooperation within the platform.[9]
DRACARYS buggy invention of a team of Kyiv developers has already received donations for 300,000 UAH. The vehicle, with increased cross-country ability, has raised funds thanks to Cosmolot's charity tournament.[10]
The Brave Inventors project also raised UAH 340,000 in donations from Ukrainians. The funding was provided to UA Dynamics, which manufactures attack UAV Punisher.[11]
There is also a case of investment collaboration, where an investor has selected a team to invest a sum of money to produce one or a few copies of their invention. Once the invention is realized, the revenue will constitute the capital of their co-venture company, and they become partners.
Within the project we have 7 partners who strengthen the platform with their help, providing mentoring, legal, informational, and other support to the development teams. Case in point, legal services company Axon Partners assists with their robust legal expertise, they provide inventor teams with counseling, lectures, and drafting of legal paperwork.[12][13]
Beryl Design Office backs with technical expertise, especially those with projects that are at the concept stage. Meanwhile, the investment portal InVenture publishes projects from the platform in its investment digest.
Besides, the project features its own pool of experts consisting of Maxim Subbotin - a representative of the team of the manufacturer of the Ukrainian UAV Punisher, Boris Volkov - an experienced volunteer and development director of the charity fund Future Protection, as well as Dmitry ″Fox″; - a military person who is a certified UAV operator and an instructor in anti-tank and tactical training.
On November 30, 2023, Brave Inventors supported an investment event, a networking expo Investman.[14] Brave Inventors presented 4 inventions at the expo. These are UAV Khrushch, robotic bionic prosthesis, Fury Pro copter, and UAV Shulika.
Brave Inventors project is included in the Ukrainian Book of Records for "The largest number of investment projects simultaneously presented."[15]
