Archbishops of Canterbury

From Wikipedia - Reading time: 3 min

Since the Reformation, the Archbishops of Canterbury have been bishops of the Church of England; before the Reformation, they were bishops of the Roman Catholic Church. Their see is the Diocese of Canterbury and their episcopal chair ('cathedra') is at Canterbury Cathedral. The Archbishop of Canterbury is the most senior bishop of the Church of England and of the worldwide Anglican Communion, outranking the other English archbishop, the Archbishop of York.
