The Arabian Peninsula, according to the World Geographical Scheme for Recording Plant Distributions
  • The southwestern Arabian Peninsula is in the Afrotropical biogeograpic realm. The rest of the peninsula is in the Palearctic realm, and is included within the larger geographic region of temperate Asia.
  • It includes flora taxa that are native to the Arabian Peninsula. Taxa of the lowest rank are always included. Higher taxa are included only if endemic.
  • For the purposes of this category, the "Arabian Peninsula" is defined in accordance with the World Geographical Scheme for Recording Plant Distributions. That is, the geographic region known as the Arabian Peninsula is defined as including the following areas, typically defined by the political boundaries of its constituents:
