Articles relating to the Gutian dynasty of Sumer (c. 2199–2119 BC), which came to power in Mesopotamia after displacing the Akkadian Empire. It ruled for roughly one century; however, some copies of the Sumerian King List (SKL) vary between 4 and 25 years. The Gutian people (Guti) were native to Gutium, presumably in the central Zagros Mountains.
