Homelessness varies, in its scale and nature, across borders and cultures although it is likely that, on any day or night, there are homeless people in every country or territory. Homelessness includes not only rough sleeping (its most visible form) but also living in temporary accommodation and hidden forms of homelessness – i.e. through staying with family and friends, couch surfing, or living in unsuitable housing that cannot be described as a normal home for any person.[1]
