The largest denomination is the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, from which (in alphabetical order) the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (Ireland), the Free Presbyterian Church of Ulster, the Non-subscribing Presbyterian Church of Ireland and the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Ireland have separated. Many Irish presbyterians have Scottish ancestry.
