Kitzbühel Alps

From Wikipedia - Reading time: 2 min

The Kitzbühel Alps are a mountain range in Austria that are part of the Central Alps, which in turn form part of the Eastern Alps. They are located in the states of Tyrol and Salzburg.

The boundary for the region is based on the definition of the Eastern Alps and its subdivision into individual ranges according to the Alpine Club classification of the Eastern Alps (AVE). By this definition the Kitzbühel Alps are bounded by the line: River Inn from its confluence with the Ziller to Kufstein -- Weißachgraben -- Ellmau -- St. Johann i.T. -- Fieberbrunn -- Hochfilzen -- Saalfelden -- Zell am See -- Salzach -- Gerlos Pass -- Gerlostal -- Zell am Ziller -- the Ziller to its confluence with the Inn.
