Administrative law is the branch of United Kingdom law by which the decisions and decision-making processes of public bodies are subjected to judicial control. It is of course something of a misnomer to refer to United Kingdom law at all, however in the administrative sphere the laws of the different jurisdictions which comprise the United Kingdom are, substantively, the same in most respects. It is therefore easier to deal with such divergences as do exist by way of exceptions to the more general unity of the law in this area.
