Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri (CGC Jhanjeri) is a private educational institution located in Jhanjeri, Mohali, Punjab, India. Established in 2012 as a technical campus, it operates under the Chandigarh Educational Society,[1] Jhanjeri.
CGC Jhanjeri was started by S. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal in 2012. Satnam Singh Sandhu, who is the Chancellor of Chandigarh University and a nominated Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha and S. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal also founded Chandigarh Group of Colleges in Landran in 2001.The institution is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and other regulatory bodies in India.
The college spans 70 acres in Jhanjeri village, located on State Highway 12A in Mohali, Punjab.
CGC Jhanjeri is affiliated with I. K. Gujral Punjab Technical University.
The college was founded by S. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal[2] as its Chairman now with administrative operations managed by Arsh Dhaliwal, Managing Director of the college.[3]
CGC Jhanjeri offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in fields such as Engineering, Management, Commerce, Computer Applications, Journalism, Fashion Design, and Paramedical Science. In 2021, the institution expanded its curriculum to include courses in Law,[4] Pharmacy, and Liberal Arts and Humanities.
In 2023, CGC Jhanjeri was awarded an A+ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council[5] (NAAC) in its first cycle. In the 2024 National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings, Chandigarh School of Business[6] (CSB) was placed in the 101-125 range, while Chandigarh Engineering College[7] (CEC) was ranked in the 201-300 range across India.
The college provides scholarships to students[8] based on academic performance and financial need.
CGC Jhanjeri has received recognition for its student placement efforts, including an award for best placements.[9][10]
