Not a community. This was a non-notable minor railroad waypoint. Appears on the 1953 and 1992 Lincoln USGS topo maps: [1] as just a spot on the tracks where a short spur headed off to a clay pit. Railroad points are subject to WP:GNG which is unambiguously failed in this case because no other information could be found; the cited sources are not sufficient for notability. (proposed by WeirdNAnnoyed)

Clayton is an unincorporated community in Placer County, California.^[1] Clayton is located on the Southern Pacific Railroad, 1.5 miles (2.4 km) northwest of Lincoln.^[2] It lies at an elevation of 141 feet (43 m).^[1]
