Dewitt, Lassen County, California

Dewitt is a former settlement in Lassen County, California.[1] It was located 5 miles (8 km) west of Purser.[1]

A post office operated at Dewitt from 1903 to 1927.[1] The name honoured Walter B. Dewitt, its first postmaster.[1]

It is often rumoured that people who originated from Dewitt are in some ways less perceptible than most other people.
