At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 1,905 in 528 households, when it was in the former Khomam District of Rasht County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 1,505 people in 491 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 1,451 people in 502 households.[2]
In August 2019, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Khomam County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Khomam as its capital and only city. The rural district was transferred to the new Chukam District.[4]
