The Head of the Press Team of the State Administration Council (Burmese: နိုင်ငံတော်စီမံအုပ်ချုပ်ရေးကောင်စီသတင်းအဖွဲ့အကြီးအကဲ) is the spokesperson responsible for media relations and public communication on behalf of the State Administration Council in Myanmar. The position was established following the 2021 military coup and is typically held by a senior military officer who delivers official statements to domestic and international audiences. Major General Zaw Min Tun has served in this role since its formation.[1][2]

Major General Zaw Min Tun has served as the head of the press team since the formation of the SAC in 2021.[5] During periods of political upheaval and military control, the role has also been central to managing the state's narrative in the media, particularly in relation to the 2021 coup and subsequent civil unrest.[6][7][8] He also previously held the role of Chief of the Tatmadaw True News Information Team.[9][10]
