Ismail bin Muhammad Rizi, also known as Hakim Ismail Rizi (1300–1230 AD^{[clarification needed]}) was an Iranian scholar and philosopher and the seventh pole of Ishraq philosophy from Riz (Zarrin Shahr) village in the 13th AD century. Rizi wrote the book "Hayat al-Nufus" in Persian language at the request of Yusuf Shah, son of Alp Arslan Arghun, to make philosophical concepts understandable by those who do not know Arabic^[1][2]
