James Lyon (born 25 June 2003) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays for Scottish Championship club Partick Thistle.
Lyon made his professional debut coming off the bench in a 2–0 away win over Forfar Athletic.[1]
After making two appearances and registering one assist with the first team squad in Scottish League One, Lyon signed a two year modern apprenticeship deal with Thistle in summer 2021.[2]
Lyon joined Scottish League Two side Stenhousemuir on loan for the 2021–22 season.[3] Lyon scored the first goal of his career, scoring for Stenhousemuir in a 2–1 win over Dumbarton in the Scottish League Cup group stages.[4]
In June 2023 Lyon signed a new two year contract with Partick Thistle, extending his deal until the end of the 2024–25 season.[5]
Lyon scored his first goal for Thistle in a 2–2 draw in the Scottish League Cup group stages, scoring a stoppage time equaliser against Falkirk at Firhill.[6]
Lyon scored his first league goal for Thistle, opening the scoring in a 2-1 away defeat to Airdrie.[7]
