Career

[edit]

Taylor was elected to the New Mexico House of Representatives in 1994.[1] In 2004, Taylor was appointed to the New Mexico Senate. In 2008 he was defeated for re-election in the Democratic primary by Eric Griego, a member of the Albuquerque City Council.[2] After losing the primary, he filed a lawsuit to overturn the results of the election.[3] In 2012, Taylor ran for his old seat. He placed third in the Democratic primary after Eleanor Chavez and eventual winner Michael Padilla.[4]
