Lakshmi is a 2024 Indian Tamil-language television series which premiered on 18 March 2024[2] It stars Shruthi Raj and Sanjeev Venkat.[3]
The show focuses on ambitious Mahalakshmi, who is determined to make a name for herself.

Production

[edit]Actress Shruthi Raj[4] was cast in the female lead role of Mahalakshmi, marking her return after Thalattu. Actor Sanjeev Venkat was cast in the male lead role of Selvam.[5] Actress Sruthi Shanmuga Priya was cast as Viji.[6][7]
Release
[edit]The first promo was released on 1 March 2024 featuring all of the main cast.[8] The show debuted on Sun TV on 18 March 2023, taking Aruvi's time slot.[9]
Soundtrack
[edit]Playback and Carnatic singer, Saindhavi Prakash, sang the opening theme song track, in her second collaboration with Shruthi Raj, after singing the opening theme of the serial Thalattu.[10]
