Lissandro was born on 2 October 2009 in Moselle.[2] He showed an early interest in music after his father introduced him to the work of Elvis Presley, resulting in the nickname Elvissandro.[3] Lissandro was discovered by Marina D'Amico, and his parents enrolled him in D'Amico's singing school.[4][5]
He participated in the seventh season of The Voice Kids France, where he reached the finals. In the blind auditions, he sang "Too Much" by Elvis Presley, and all four judges turned their seats for him.[7][3][8]
On 28 October 2022, France Télévisions announced Lissandro would represent France at the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with a song titled "Oh Maman !".[13] On the same day, the track was released as a single.[14][15] The song's style was announced as a "mix between Bruno Mars and Elvis [Presley]" and has been described as rockabilly[16] and as pop rock.[17] It was written by Frédéric Château (who had composed for Patricia Kaas, Florent Pagny, M Pokora and others) and Barbara Pravi (who had composed the 2019 and 2020 French Junior Eurovision entries and represented France at the 2021 "adult" Eurovision).[17] On 6 November, a recently shot music video for the song was released online.[17][18][19]
The contest took place on 11 December in Yerevan, Armenia, at the Karen Demirchyan Concert and Sports Complex.[20] For his performance, Lissandro was joined on stage by four backing dancers — Lola, Yana, Mahdy and Thimeo.[21][17][22]
Lissandro won the Junior Eurovision, scoring 203 poinst and finishing 23 points ahead of the runner-up. This was France's second victory in the contest, after that of Valentina in 2020 with her song "J'imagine".[23][24]
